Course launch date: January 2026 This 45-minute learning module is designed for health professionals seeking a clear, practical understanding of catastrophic haemorrhage, a rare but highly distressing palliative care emergency requiring immediate recognition and a coordinated response. Developed with specialist clinicians at Tōtara Hospice, the module covers early warning signs, priority actions, and communication approaches that support patients and their whānau during and after an event. The learning experience includes short videos, interactive activities, reflection points to reinforce understanding and encourage critical thinking, and a quiz to consolidate knowledge.
