This comprehensive four-module bundle provides a structured, evidence-based learning experience for healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of how the assisted dying service is delivered in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Tōtara Hospice is a leading provider of integrated specialist palliative and end of life care services. In November 2021, in alignment with our commitment to patient choice, Tōtara opted to provide a fully integrated assisted dying support service as part of its Hospice care.

To develop these practical, experience informed and evidence-based modules, we have drawn on the expertise of our specialist palliative care team members who have directly supported patients in their exploration of, or application and approval to have an assisted death. These modules provide healthcare professionals with real-world insights, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to navigate Voluntary Assisted Dying in New Zealand.
